It's About that Time...

Probably one of the most important (and hardest) days in my year is fastly approaching, and I find myself unprepared... again. Yes, there is less than 2 weeks until Mother's Day... I can't believe how fast this year has flown by.

Kids have it easy!

For me, May, itself, is always hard on me. All of our birthdays are this month. Mine, The Mom's, and my son's. It's also the anniversary of his passing. Each year it seems harder than the last. Whoever said that time heals all pain... lied.

So Mother's Day is a double whammy, it's a day that I may never get to celebrate myself and of course I have to try to impress The Mom. It doesn't help that The Mom's birthday is always the week before/following and she is probably the hardest person to shop/plan for. I'm not sure if it's old age, or personality, or both. Oh how I long for the days when all that was expected out of me was to draw a heart on a piece of construction paper.

She loves flowers, we usually buy her something for her garden, but I'd like to change it up a bit. With all the other tensions and upsets in our lives, this year is especially difficult. I really want to do something memorable for her, and I hope to come up with it soon. I mean, tick tock.

Do you have any plans or stories for Mother's Day?

Can't believe it's approaching that fast! We'll probably give my mom some flowers that she can plant outside. She loves to plant flowers. Dropping by from SITS! xo

Wow, I did not realize that it was less than 2 weeks away. Seriously! Gotta get on that.

Could you do me a huuuuge favor and maybe post or share about my Etsy giveaway? I don't think I'll get enough traffic! Thank you so much.

Amber, that's great! The Mom loves flowers too, but that's what we've been doing for the last couple of years and I really wanted to do something special this year... after everything... I'm sure I'll think of something!

Dot, I shared it on twitter :)

I was thinking about switching it up and getting my mom, mom in law, and grandmother and aunt diamond candles. They are candles that smell great and there is a piece of jewelry in the bottom. Every once in a while someone get a real diamond ring in their candle. Or I will just do flowers again lol. My hubby and kids got me a bike! I got it early :)
